Great Game Today

As soon as the teams lined up today we knew it was going to be a physical game as East Valley had some big lads playing for them. We won the toss and kicked off but if you blinked you would of missed the first goal scored by keaton a lovely shot across the keeper into the far corner officialy timed at 8 seconds. The next 10 mins were a battle of strength but we held our own and from a keaton cross from the left josh scored our second goal, more battling followed and before you knew it half time was here.
The second half followed much the same pattern of the first battle upon battle took place and we missed a few more chances which would of made the victory more comfortable towards the end. well done to keaton for his man of the match award and to all the team for this excellent performance.

First Win Of The Season

Our first away match of the new season saw us play the Caribbean Cavaliers we turned up with only 7 fit players so all the lads knew they were in for a long hard game.
We started off in our usual fashon by conceding an early goal but this just helped us to wake up and start playing football like we know we can.
After 10 mins of solid pressing we found and equaliser through a lovely cross by keaton from the left and flicked in at the near post by birthday boy Josh, We continued to press and many chances went by but just before half time the ball broke to Captain Jack who ran through 1on1 with the keeper and a cool finish made it a half time score 2-1 to clifton.
We came out in the second half like a team possesed and took the game straight to the cavaliers and within the first 10 mins Keaton had managed to bag himself a hat-trick the best of which was a powerfull header from a floated corner the cavaliers did not give up though and if the defenders Ryan and Connor had not been awake and some excellent save from Jamie they could of had another Goal.
The game was then wrapped up with some tireless work by Taylor down the right who ran and ran all day who after another run took a quick throw which broke to josh who poked in his second, 2 mins later Captain Jack had a free kick just outside the area and powered in his second to finish off a well deserved victory.
